There is also a post in the Us section of this website.

2015 has been a brilliant year for my practice and I have been joined by Karen Elliott who is an experience Chartered Legal Executive and by Danielle Coombes who is a trainee Legal Executive. In 2016, I would like to grow the practice further.

We have been successful in generating a good flow of both Legal Work and Mediation Work and there are clearly opportunities to generate more. We receive referrals from satisfied clients and by word of mouth.

I am looking for an Assistant Solicitor to work with me.

The successful candidate will probably be NQ – 2/3 years or so PQE

Good experience and a can-do attitude are key requirements. There is also a genuine partnership opportunity for the right candidate.

Anyone who joins us would be based in our office in Honiton, but they would be encouraged and supported in developing our service in Exeter and Taunton.

Ideally we will have a team of around 5 lawyers. We want to be a team, working for each other, with the ability to adapt to changes in the market. Neither too big or too small, but just right!

Hopefully my new assistant will learn a lot from me. In 2016 I will celebrate 20 years both as aa mediator and on the children panel. I have served on the Law Society Family Law Committee and the Board of the FMA. I am the current Chair of the Devon Region of Resolution. I am on the Steering Group of the SW Peninsular Family Drug and Alcohol Court. I am also a Collaborative Lawyer… My assistant will be encouraged to gain accreditations and skills and join in with committees.

Can you help us to grow?

Email your CV to me in confidence at ianwalker@familylawandmediation.co.uk
