Dear Devon Resolution member

This is quite a full briefing, but please read on, it contains some important information.


We held our AGM on Tues 3 November. Thanks to those who attended.

We welcomed Tracy Lambert and Vicki Lewis onto the Committee. Sadly Julia Robson has had to stand down. We wish her well and hopefully she will be able to re-join us after she returns to work when she is better.

Divorce Research – Liz Trinder University of Exeter

Liz is about to embark on a research project, which is supported by Resolution about Divorce. Liz kindly attended our AGM and discussed this with us.

Liz will be hosting a focus group of practitioners on 17th November at 5pm at Exeter University. Details of the room to be confirmed.

This meeting is likely to influence to shape of the research. If you would like to go along/get involved, please email Tracy Lambert

Devon Resolution Conference 2016

It will definitely be on 20 May 2016 ! We hope to have the flyers out before December. We are currently seeking sponsorship and once we have sorted this out we will be able to work out a price. It is likely to be similar to this year- in other words a bargain

On Thursday 19 May 2016 we also hope to run Mediators / Collaborative Lawyers soft skills day
with Chris Iveson- Therapist and Trainer – Brief Therapy and its application in Family Mediation and Collaborative Family Law
The charge should be around £100 + VAT for a full days training.

Family Drug and Alcohol Court

The official launch of South West Peninsula FDAC will be on Tuesday, 10 November. This is by invitation only. I will be attending on behalf of Devon Resolution. If anything arises, I will report back.

We hosted training from Dr Mike Shaw, Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist & Co-director FDAC National Unit and his colleague Sophie Kershaw on 20/21 October.
