Background and Expertise

Kim is particularly interested in complex care cases involving babies and children who have suffered accidents and injuries. She has experience in cases involving mental health, drug and alcohol misuse, and learning disabilities. She has experience in cases involving foreign jurisdictions.

Kim joined Walker Family Law in 2017 after 27 years in a local high street practice in which she was an equity partner.

She has been a member of the Children Panel since 1999. She is also a qualified mediator and collaborative lawyer.

She is an independent panel member and Vice Chair for The Fostering Foundation and regularly sits on panels to approve potential and appraise current foster carers.

When she joined us in 2017 she said:

Spare Time

“In my spare time I like to potter in my garden, which was renovated during the pandemic. I enjoy live music and attend gigs when I can.”

In 2021 she walked from John O’Groats to Land’s End virtually and is very proud of the medal to prove that she actually did it. Since then, she has kept up with her walking and walks for an hour most days, work commitments and weather permitting.
