Lucy completed her undergraduate studies at Queen Mary, University of London where she obtained a first-class honours degree in Geography. Lucy chose to pursue a career in law as she wanted a career representing the interests of vulnerable people dealing with everyday injustices.

She completed her Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of Law (Exeter) in 2017 before completing her Legal Practice Couse part-time at the University of Law (Bristol) in 2019.

Prior to joining Ian Walker Family Law and Mediation Solicitors, Lucy gained experience working as a commercial property paralegal at national law firm and as a personal injury case handler at a specialist personal injury firm, both based in Taunton, Somerset.

Lucy has experience representing her own clients in pre-proceedings (‘PLO’) and s8 Children Act cases concerning child arrangements. Lucy has extensive experience in assisting qualified fee earners on s31 Children Act cases on behalf of parents and Children Guardians on complex cases, including negligence, non-accidental injury and fabricated induced illness cases.

“I chose a career in law because I wanted a career that involved using my problem-solving skills to help people through the most challenging points in their lives. I enjoy supporting and working with families to secure a positive outcome for the parents and children involved.”

“I am a keen sportswoman and enjoy playing and watching netball. I was fortunate to represent my university netball club. In addition to my love of netball, I am a lifelong England and Essex County Cricket Club fan. I enjoy following my cricket teams across the country in the summer months with family and friends.”

Lucy is a passionate animal rights advocate and, when she is not testing her vegan culinary skills in the kitchen, she volunteers for The Protego Foundation, an international organisation inspired by the Wizarding World franchise to empower fans of all ages to fight for animal rights, as a Blog Writer. This has been an exciting challenge for Lucy whereby she uses her creative writing skills to educate and engage supporters in veganism and animal rights issues.,and%20Fantastic%20Beasts%E2%84%A2%20fandom
