I qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and began practicing in Family Law.
I have always been interested in Family Law and spent a significant amount of my training on Family Law matters. I decided I wanted to practice in Family Law as I enjoy dealing with individuals and hopefully helping and supporting them at what can be a very difficult time.
At first I specialised in matters relating to Children and Domestic Abuse. This meant that I was at times dealing with very vulnerable people and I found it very rewarding to be able to provide them with the help they needed.
I have now joined Ian Walker Family Law and Mediation Services and I will be practicing all aspects of family law. I am looking forward to working within a small team as I believe that this allows us to provide our client’s with a high level of service as they are dealing with people who really are aware of their file and familiar with what is going on. In such a small team it is really important that we all work together and doing so benefits our clients.
Outside of work my two favourite things are probably my cats, even my husband understands that they come first in our home. When I am not playing with them I enjoy reading a good book or watching a good film. I make occasional attempts at keeping fit but that is because I feel I should rather than because I enjoy it!
